Knaus Boxdrive Crafter based campervan, two leasure batteries 

 

We have a Knaus Boxdrive with two leisure batteries (one onder the hood, the other under the bed) each with a battery sensor. I would like to replace these with a single Saftkiste Pro 340 and a Victron Multiplus 1600 inverter (not the 2000) and for the rest the setup that you offer for the grand California.

I am in contact with CamperTrek in Diessen in the Netherlands. They also do not know how hard it would be to get this alternative and more affordable setup to work and hesitate trying as it may cost them more than they would make on installing it.

My understanding is that if VW/Knaus sold vans with 1 or two leisure batteries it ought to be possible to decommission one of these in the software, correct?

If hope you can confirm to me and others that this setup would work and that we can get the software setup to function as it should on a Knaus Boxdrive. It has the same display (supplied bt Dometic) as the previous model used by VW.

At the moment I have two dead leisure batteries and hope to be able to replace it with a single Saftkiste Pro 340, Victron booster, Votronic starer battery charger and the Victron Multipus 1600 inverter (the model you offer for the smaller VW campervans)

Ich habe ein Modelljahr 2026, ohne Solar. Das gibt es ja nicht mehr ab Werk. Was für ein Solarpaneel rüstet ihr beim 600 nach? Das abgerundete Klebepaneel vorn in der Schräge wie im Original?

hat schon jemand Erfahrung mit der Saftkiste von Califaktur ?

Die beschreiben den Austasch als Plug&Play, einfach selbst zu machen, mit voller Komartibilität zur VW Elekrtonik und Unbedenklichkeitsbescheinigung von VW.

Hierzu die Frage, besteht die auch, wenn man die Saftkiste selbst einbaut ?

 

170Ah mit nur einer Batterie, wenn auch teuer, klingt verlockend.

Ich glaube dieser Kit ist identisch zur dem von Saftkiste. Sucht dort zu bestellen. Die haben sucht die installierungsanleitung online.

Preislich sind sie aber unterschiedlich?

wie dem auch sei, ich finde es Mega.

Nur für mich zu teuer, auch wenn sie es sicher wert sind …
